From extrusion and flexo printing, all the way through to assembly – at Heukäufer Folien GmbH, based in Herten, Germany, web guiding systems from BST eltromat International play a key role in quality assurance. The web center-line guidings, with two ultrasonic sensors each, guide the webs accurately through the machines for the manufacturer of sophisticated foil bags and carrier bags.

Kodak is proud to partner in the "Experience the Future of Flexo" Open House event held by Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) on March 27 and 28, 2019 in Lengerich, Germany. At this event, which is expected to attract customers and prospects from the global flexo printing industry, Kodak will showcase its new, innovative KODAK FLEXCEL NX Ultra Solution for the first time outside the United States. The W&H Printing Technology Center is now home to a dedicated Flexo Plate Center, a partnership between Kodak and W&H, where the FLEXCEL NX Ultra Solution will be available to both W&H and Kodak for customer demonstrations on an ongoing basis.

ICE Europe 2019 sets record for exhibition space, exhibitor and visitor numbers

Last week, from 12 – 14 March 2019, the international converting industry gathered for the 11th ICE Europe at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany. This year, the World’s Leading Exhibition for the conversion of flexible, web-based materials, such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens, achieved higher numbers of exhibitors and visitors than ever before and also set a record for the exhibition space. A total of 7,150 visitors from 75 countries came to the Bavarian capital to discover machinery, systems, materials, and accessories; which is an increase of visitors by 4% compared to the previous event.

During the first edition of ‘Labels Connected’, held on February 28 at the MPS headquarters in Arnhem, the Netherlands, 60 invitees learned more about the benefits of systems connectivity in the label industry and how to implement this in their business. The event, organized by MPS, Esko and CERM and supporting partners AVT and Domino, attracted over 60 professionals from the European label industry. This was much more than anticipated, said Fredric Vanvinckenroye, Field Marketing Manager EMEA at Esko: “The event revealed that truly understanding connectivity and embracing a new mindset is clearly a need in the industry. MPS and its partners are leading the way in innovation - together addressing label printing requirements and challenges with connectivity integration.”
