Koehler will show their packaging news in FachPack

FachPack is one of the most important trade fairs in Europe that deals with the topic of packaging. This is where all the important representatives over the whole process chain meet. So Koehler will be appearing at the fair in Nuremberg this year from September 24 to 26. At stand number 5-341 in hall 5, the company will be exhibiting as a manufacturer of packaging solutions. These include papers for flexible packaging. Koehler will present a variety of exciting products from its portfolio of one side coated and uncoated paper that can be turned into stand-up pouches for cereal products or bags for soup or pudding powder, for example.

Lintec to highlight diverse labelstock offering at Labelexpo Europe 2019

Flex Pack chooses Flexo Wash to improve print quality

One of Colombia’s leading manufacturing suppliers of flexible packaging, Flex Pack SAS, has installed Flexo Wash technology at its plant in Bogota to help improve the quality of work being produced on its two flexo printing presses. Founded in 2001 and still owned and managed by Carlos Alberto González and his wife Maribel Jácome, the company is vertically integrated offering a variety of services in-house from extrusion to rolling, printing, and valve inserting. Almost 740,000 tonnes of PVC recycled in 2018

VinylPlus®, the Voluntary Commitment to sustainable development of the European PVC industry, recycled 739,525 tonnes of PVC within its framework in 2018 – a 15.6% increase on the previous year. The results were presented at the 2019 edition of the VinylPlus Sustainability Forum in Prague, Czech Republic, where the industry shared further progress towards increasing the sustainability performance of PVC.

Introducing the new removable, UV acrylic-based adhesive HERMA 42X, HERMA offers a valuable addition to printers and label users: thanks to small minimum coating quantities starting at 1,000 square metres, even special label materials can be efficiently made removable. Usually, minimum coating quantities in this industry start at 7,500 square metres. Sampling is therefore possible at short notice, even for partially adhesive-lined labels.

New study confirms non-recycled paper is better for the climate

Proseal to be acquired by US corporation in £220m deal

Proseal - a leading provider of tray sealing technology to the food industry - is to be acquired by Chicago-based JBT Corporation. JBT, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the company for a purchase price of approximately £220m, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal will allow Proseal to further expand its business by providing access to JBT’s global sales and service network. Closing is expected in the second quarter of 2019. Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance and Spinnaker Corporate Finance advised on the deal.
